I got my Tiguan as a trade in on my diesel VW Jetta. One of the few times I had purchased an extended warranty.
My panoramic sunroof was "eaten" past the mechanic/motor. The VW Service was gonna give me a difficult time: did the sunshade wrap around the motor (not covered) or did the motor eat the sunshade (covered). $189 for the diagnostic, etc. ka-ching, ka-ching.
And VW service was questioning if my warranty was still applicable Service translate 60,000 miles as being the total mileage on the odometer, where per my warranty it was the purchase odometer miles PLUS 60,000.
Always phone call the warranty folks directly to have it explained to you. NEVER proceed being told by a service person. Never underestimate a gal with her documents organized either.

I need someone to give me an guess. I just bought this car and the lady had the sunroof put in. She had a new headliner put in and she said they told her that who ever put the moon roof in did a terrible job. The lady told me that she had never open it subsequently the liner was installed. I was curious and wanted to open up it The glass lifted upwards on the button it has Vent so the Vent did open it just raised up. Is the glass supposed to slide all the way back. The button has vent open and airtight. How much would it cost me to have someone see why the the drinking glass want go all the style back and just the vent works.
